Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Elevator Worker to join our team at ADM's grain facility. As an Elevator Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our grain handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and Unload Grain: Safely load and unload grain from trucks and railcars, ensuring accurate and efficient transfer of materials.
  • Operate Grain Dryer: Monitor and operate the grain dryer to ensure optimal drying conditions and minimize grain damage.
  • Grain Handling and Storage: Assist in the handling and storage of grain, including loading and unloading grain from silos and bins.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of equipment, including wheel loaders, forklifts, skid steers, and other machinery.
  • Computerized System Operation: Utilize computerized systems to process data and track grain inventory.
  • General Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and facilities.
  • Assist Operations Personnel: Provide support to operations personnel as needed, including maintenance and repair tasks.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to Safety: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and adhere to company safety procedures.
  • Education and Experience: High school education or equivalent preferred; previous experience in maintenance-related disciplines or operating a computer preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to meet physical requirements of the position, including prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing/descending stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 55 lbs unassisted.
  • Availability: Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
