The Environmental Services Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the EVS Manager to oversee and manage the EVS Team Members. The role is essential in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring smooth coordination with other departments. Upholding the company's culture and standards is vital in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster Positive Team Relations: Ensure a harmonious working relationship with other departments and promote a positive team environment.
- Support Professional Development: Support the professional development of both self and subordinates, including career planning and counseling.
- Recruit, Train, and Evaluate: Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate the performance of team members.
- Ensure Adherence to Guidelines: Ensure strict adherence to the guidelines outlined in the Rivers Casino EVS Manual.
- Conduct Comprehensive Training: Conduct comprehensive training programs for team members to ensure proficient task execution.
- Implement Inspection Program: Implement and maintain an effective inspection program for all EVS responsible areas.
- Manage Departmental Supplies: Efficiently manage departmental supplies and inventory, while staying updated on new products and materials for operational enhancement.
- Ensure Safe Usage of Equipment: Ensure proper and safe usage of equipment and chemicals.
- Prioritize Safety: Prioritize the safety of all team members through the maintenance of a comprehensive safety program.
- Address Guest Requests: Address and fulfill guest requests promptly, or direct them to the appropriate personnel for assistance.
- Maintain Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, upholding ethical standards and a positive image.
- Perform Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications:
- Education: An associate's degree with a focus on management, business, or finance is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Two to three years of experience as an EVS Supervisor or a comparable blend of education and experience.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and adept at providing training. Proficient in management and supervision with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Language: Strong communication skills in English with both team members and guests.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Certifications: Must be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Non-Gaming License. Rivers Casino will assist in the application process and pays the fee associated with this license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged Standing and Walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Bending, Stretching, and Lifting: Bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
