**Job Summary**

We are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join our team. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the underwriting process by helping to enter new business applications, initiate renewal application processes, and process term letters.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Assist in reviewing correspondences, records, and reports to ensure compliance with team procedures
* Run pre-defined statistical reports on new business and renewal applications processed to inform underwriter managers
* Process and scan documents for record and file them electronically for easy access
* Prepare monthly renewal and anniversary reports for managers to determine new and existing business opportunities
* Maintain the procedure manual to help the team determine rate classifications and assign rates to pending applications

**Requirements**

* Data compilation and analysis skills
* Knowledge of claims and insurance industry practices
* Strong documentation review and customer contact skills
* Ability to work in a hybrid onsite environment
