Electrical Maintenance Engineer for Crop Protection

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Syngenta Crop Protection in Omaha, responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and automation controls.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, with experience working on control systems, low-voltage power distribution, and circuit protection. They will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair electrical systems, including air compressors, boilers, HVAC, and packaging equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility systems, identifying potential hazards and defects.
- Install, setup, and maintain control equipment, including flow switches/meters, photo eyes, proximity switches, level transmitters/switches, DP cells, pressure, and temperature transmitters.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and investigate problems with mechanical equipment, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles, control systems, and automation technology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- A competitive salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
