This role is ideal for those who have firsthand experience within the child welfare system and are eager to share their strength and insights to assist fellow parents on their journey toward success.
As a Family Support Specialist, you will play an essential role in empowering others, providing direction, and encouraging personal development.Benefits of Joining Us:

Do you meet the following criteria?
Have personal experience as a parent previously involved with the child welfare system.
Possess a thorough understanding of the Oregon Department of Human Services and its operations.
Candidates in recovery should have a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety.
Applicants must not be the alleged perpetrator on any ongoing abuse or neglect investigation.
Candidates should not have been identified by ODHS as the perpetrator of an abuse or neglect allegation within the past year.
Additional Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Willingness to work flexible hours and days
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance
Ability to navigate stairs and uneven terrain for short to medium distances
Capability to sit or stand for extended periods
Must reside in one of the counties served (Umatilla or Morrow)
