Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be integral to a dynamic team focused on the architecture, design, and execution of a sophisticated, deterministic, and highly scalable software simulation framework. Collaboration with a diverse group of engineers, data scientists, pilots, and stakeholders will be essential to enhance one of the most advanced flight simulators in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

We seek skilled engineers proficient in OOP C++ development who can architect and construct a high-fidelity simulator that supports the development, verification, and certification processes for our unique electric aircraft.

Required Qualifications
  • A degree in computer science or computer engineering with a minimum of 7 years of industry experience. Candidates with an advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and multi-layered system architectures.
  • Proficient in C++ with experience in multi-threaded systems.
  • Familiarity with modern integrated development environments and debugging tools.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems.
  • Exposure to Python programming.

Compensation at Blackhornvc includes a competitive base salary and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The salary range for this position is $97,500-$191,000, with the final offer determined by factors such as location, expertise, and experience.

Our comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, health insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and both short-term and long-term disability coverage.
