Job Summary

Bethel University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Groundskeeper to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our campus grounds and ensuring a safe environment for our students, staff, faculty, and guests.

This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant, prune, and water shrubs, trees, flowers, and other vegetation on campus grounds.
  • Remove leaves and debris from structures and grounds.
  • Mow and trim turf areas on campus grounds and athletic fields.
  • Maintain grounds equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with landscape construction projects and special events.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and debris.
  • Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, steps, roads, and other areas as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Experience in grounds, landscaping, irrigation, and mechanical skills preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
