Position Overview

As an Industrial Maintenance Specialist at Steel Technologies LLC, your primary role is to enhance our operational safety, quality, and efficiency. This is achieved through the execution of preventative, routine, and emergency mechanical and electrical maintenance, alongside effective troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations.

Working Hours: The standard schedule for this role is Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. In instances of overtime, hours may extend from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Your Contributions:

Preventative Maintenance Duties:

  • Conduct regular maintenance on all facility machinery.
  • Implement the preventative maintenance program for the organization.
  • Manage maintenance operations and communicate any compliance issues to the supervisor for guidance.
  • Identify and rectify safety hazards throughout the facility.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization within the maintenance department and all equipment repair areas.

Minimizing Downtime:

  • Continuously monitor the performance of plant equipment and systems.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Spot opportunities for operational enhancements.

Effective Troubleshooting Skills:

  • Possess the knowledge and capability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs through effective root cause analysis.
  • Accurately complete documentation on work orders.
  • Perform emergency maintenance repairs on all machinery.

Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Familiarity with motor control systems, hydraulic systems, fire protection, and mechanical bearing systems.
  • Understanding of equipment installation processes.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints for the fabrication of parts and equipment.
  • Completion of a maintenance experience assessment is required to evaluate knowledge and experience.

Requirements for Success:

  • Proficient in data retrieval and entry using Excel and CMMS systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery effectively.
  • Strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with motor control systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and fire protection systems.
  • Adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
  • Experience with metalworking tools such as grinders, band saws, and welding equipment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment or possession of a Mechatronics certificate.
  • Capability to lift and move weights as required.
