Overview:

The primary role of the Reliability Engineer (RE) is to enhance the reliability performance of assets while adhering to all relevant standards, procedures, and policies. The RE maintains a strategic outlook focused on opportunities that influence the measured capability of assets. Utilizing reliability technologies and tools, the RE develops strategies aimed at improving asset reliability and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and established policies while achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and meeting organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain an Equipment Hierarchy, identifying Critical Equipment.
  • Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to create maintenance plans based on identified failure modes.
  • Ensure timely analysis of data and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Analyze trends to prioritize and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee the Bad Actor Program aimed at defect elimination.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for significant reliability issues.
  • Monitor KPIs and metrics for proactive resolution of reliability challenges.
  • Lead cross-functional teams focused on reliability improvements.
  • Formulate and implement action plans to enhance reliability.
  • Develop, document, and train staff on standard operating procedures as required.
  • Assist in maintainability analysis and planning for new equipment.
  • Collaborate with Technical Disciplines, Operations, and Maintenance to identify capacity utilization improvements.
  • Foster partnerships within the organization to achieve shared objectives.
  • Support complex equipment overhauls and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date Operator Care Routes.
  • Specify spare parts and assist in the MRO role related to assets.
  • Document all changes through the Management of Change Process and related systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in reliability-focused maintenance methodologies within an industrial setting.
  • Proficient in reliability methodologies such as FMEA, RCA, and statistical downtime analysis.
  • Proven track record of implementing effective reliability and maintenance improvements.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in design, engineering, and specification of systems and projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and CMMS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
  • Certifications in Predictive Maintenance Technologies.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing with a strong reliability culture.
