Job Opportunity

Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation is seeking a skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our Urology Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, gathering comprehensive medical data, including health history, and analyzing physical examination results.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as urine, blood tests, imaging, and assess deviations from normal.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, including bladder catheterization, instillation of bladder medications, postoperative wound care, pelvic floor biofeedback, transcutaneous tibial nerve stimulation, bladder Botox injections, and other duties within the scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, documenting consult notes, progress notes, and contributing to continuity of care.
  • Educate and advise patients on adhering to prescribed therapeutic regimens.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
  • Assist in triaging in-basket messages, including patient referrals, and communicate with pre- and post-procedure patients about their care.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistant Studies accredited by ARC-PA.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

  • Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure by the State of California or Physician Assistant (PA) licensure by the State of California.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience:

Preferably prior experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in relevant clinical areas such as general surgery, reconstructive surgery, gynecology, or other surgical specialties.
