The Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation is currently in search of a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Urology Department.

The APP is essential to our healthcare delivery model, collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, collecting detailed medical histories, and evaluating physical examination findings.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic evaluations, including laboratory tests and imaging studies, while identifying any abnormalities.
  • Executing therapeutic interventions such as bladder catheterization, administering bladder medications, managing postoperative care, and performing specialized procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Formulating and executing patient management strategies, maintaining accurate documentation of consultations and progress notes to support continuity of care.
  • Providing education and guidance to patients regarding adherence to treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Assisting in managing patient communications, including referrals and follow-up care discussions.
  • Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Master's degree in nursing for Nurse Practitioners or an accredited Physician Assistant Studies program.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Certification from the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure or Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in the State of California.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience:

Preferred candidates will have prior experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in relevant clinical settings, including but not limited to surgical specialties.
