Role Responsibilities

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, 10 months

In this role, you will:

  • Adapt and implement a rigorous curriculum aligned with educational standards
  • Create comprehensive academic plans, evaluation criteria, and assessments
  • Utilize data to inform teaching methodologies
  • Provide ongoing feedback to students and customize instruction to meet their individual needs

Creating a Supportive Learning Environment

  • Incorporate and promote the school's values, guidelines, and culture
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and staff
  • Maintain open communication with parents and regularly update them on student progress
  • Effectively manage classrooms of up to 30 students
  • Participate in essential school events such as meetings and parent-teacher conferences

Encouraging a Growth Mindset

  • Set and pursue ambitious professional goals each year
  • Engage in constructive feedback sessions with colleagues
  • Participate in both school-wide and individual professional development activities

Key Qualifications

  • Proficient in daily use of computers and office software
  • Able to perform occasional moderate lifting and physical tasks
  • Maintain composure in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and data
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Possession of a valid Missouri K-12 Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical Certification, or willingness to obtain one promptly
  • Successful completion of a Background Check
  • Demonstrated commitment to addressing educational disparities
