Flight Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Instructor to join our team at Saint Louis University. As a Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for conducting quality flight instruction and training professional pilots.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver comprehensive flight training programs to students, ensuring they meet the required standards and regulations.
- Participate in standardization training and maintain flight proficiency for each course instructed.
- Adhere to all FAA regulations and departmental policies and procedures.
- Research and implement new and improved teaching techniques to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Meet with students as scheduled, ensuring all flight lessons are completed according to the Training Course Outline specifications.
- Submit requests for stage checks and ensure all flight lessons and flight books are completed before requesting a stage check.
- Conduct all training activities, flights, and briefings during normal business hours.
- Pull aircraft in/out of the hangar, assist with tying down aircraft, and participate in departmental activities as assigned.
- Certified Flight Instructor - Airplane (CFI) required; CFII/MEI certificate preferred; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid medical certificate required.
