Patient Transportation Specialist

\We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Patient Transportation Specialist to join our team. This role will involve transporting patients to various locations within the facility, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
\Key Responsibilities:

- Transport patients safely and efficiently between departments and locations\
- Monitor patient behavior and respond appropriately in emergency situations\
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and incidents\
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care\
- Adhere to facility policies and procedures regarding patient transport\
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families\
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safe operation\
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge\
- Familiarize yourself with facility layout and emergency procedures\
- Assist with loading and unloading patients, medical equipment, and supplies\
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards\\/ul\
Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred\
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record\
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull wheelchair-accessible vehicles\
- Basic life support (BLS) certification\
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient transport or a related field\
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills\
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays\
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems\
- Compliance with Universal Precautions and OSHA guidelines\\/ul\
