About the Role
The Licensed Animal Care Technician plays a crucial role in our veterinary practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our animal patients. This position involves:
  • Assisting veterinarians in the examination, treatment, and monitoring of animals.
  • Administering prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments.
  • Monitoring vital signs and collecting samples for laboratory testing.
  • Preparing surgical areas and assisting during surgical procedures.
  • Educating pet owners on wellness plans, nutrition, and disease prevention.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records for all patients.
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of medical equipment.
  • Managing inventory and supplies within the clinic.
  • Contributing to the overall efficiency of the practice.
  • Performing select reception duties as needed.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is a plus.
  • A valid certification, registration, or licensing (CVT, RVT, or LVT).
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary setting.

Skills Required
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
