Position Information:
The Respiratory Care Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner (RCP). The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Care Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing respiratory care procedures such as oxygen supply systems, equipment processing, manual resuscitation, and oxygen administration.
  • Providing humidity and aerosol therapy, small volume nebulizer therapy, and MDI administration.
  • Conducting incentive spirometry, non-invasive mechanical airway clearance therapy, and chest physiotherapy with suctioning.
  • Performing arterial puncture and electrocardiogram (if performed by the hiring institute).
  • Reporting patient information.

Requirements:

  • Training in Clinical Respiratory Therapy.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • College courses in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Respiratory Care Assistant certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.

Work Schedule:

  • 7:00pm.

Weekend and Call Requirements:

  • As Needed.
  • No call requirements.
