Position Information:
The Respiratory Care Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner (RCP). The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Care Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing respiratory care procedures such as oxygen supply systems, equipment processing, manual resuscitation, and oxygen administration.
- Providing humidity and aerosol therapy, small volume nebulizer therapy, and MDI administration.
- Conducting incentive spirometry, non-invasive mechanical airway clearance therapy, and chest physiotherapy with suctioning.
- Performing arterial puncture and electrocardiogram (if performed by the hiring institute).
- Reporting patient information.
Requirements:
- Training in Clinical Respiratory Therapy.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- College courses in Respiratory Therapy.
- Respiratory Care Assistant certification.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
Work Schedule:
- 7:00pm.
Weekend and Call Requirements:
- As Needed.
- No call requirements.
