Senior Mechanical Designer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, detail draft, document, and present complex mechanical systems and components.
  • Develop design specifications and resolve design problems in support of new product development and sustaining engineering.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize advanced design tools, such as CREO, AutoCAD, and Altium, to create high-quality designs and documentation.
  • Provide accurate effort estimates and execute design efforts on-time.
  • Lead communication with vendors, sourcing, manufacturing, service, and other functions to realize designs.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Mechanical Design.
  • Technical Associate's degree, drafting certification, or vocational training preferred.
  • Proficiency with advanced functions of technical software design packages (CREO, AutoCAD, Altium).
  • Expertise in product lifecycle management through release and change management documentation.
  • Experience designing in multiple manufacturing methods within the technical function (machining, injection molding, cable harnesses, PCBAs).
  • Hand-on aptitude within the technical area of expertise (oscilloscopes, calipers, hand tools, multimeters).
  • Proficient in Microsoft products; Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point.
