The Design Engineer is responsible for designing, detailing, and documenting electromechanical equipment used in hospitals worldwide. This complex equipment ensures physicians can safely perform surgeries every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops design specifications for electromechanical products
  • Assists in resolving design problems in support of new product development
  • Prepares design layouts of complex electromechanical equipment from design specs and/or Sr. Designers and Engineers guidance
  • Coordinates efforts between Engineers and/or Sr. Designers and supporting Drafters on minor projects or portions of major projects

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in an appropriate discipline from a two or four-year college or university, or a certificate from an accredited technical school
  • A minimum of five years of design experience with significant CAD experience
  • Experience with design of sheet metal, piping, electromechanical, and mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures/manuals
