About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulics Process Engineer to join our team at Water Works Engineers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and executing innovative and sustainable solutions for water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and development of hydraulic and mechanical process systems for water infrastructure projects, ensuring innovative and sustainable designs.
  • Oversee complex calculations and simulations to optimize hydraulic systems, pump designs, and water treatment processes.
  • Review and refine project reports, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project goals.
  • Provide oversight and guidance during construction phases, conducting field inspections to ensure projects are executed to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless integration of hydraulic and mechanical systems within larger infrastructure projects.
  • Lead efforts to ensure all projects adhere to relevant codes, safety standards, and pollution prevention plans.
  • Contribute strategic insights to business development and long-term project planning, driving the growth and success of Water Works Engineers.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • 7-15 years of experience in hydraulic and mechanical process engineering, focusing on civil engineering and municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in CADD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and GIS-based hydraulic modeling programs such as Innovyze is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to guide and mentor engineering teams.
  • Extensive experience with structural concrete principles and their application to hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and able to lead both office and fieldwork, ensuring that all aspects of the project lifecycle are handled effectively.
  • Commitment to innovation and continuous learning, staying current with industry advancements and emerging technologies.

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $115,000 to $135,000, with a 10-20% bonus paid annually, based on qualifications.
