Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulics/Process Engineer (E2) to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing hydraulic and mechanical process systems for infrastructure projects, focusing on water resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and developing hydraulic and mechanical process systems for infrastructure projects, focusing on water resources.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to design hydraulic systems, pumps, and water treatment processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, plans, and specifications for hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Develop cost estimates to ensure the financial feasibility of projects.
  • Review construction submittals and ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct field inspections to assess project progress and compliance under the supervision of a Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery, including coordination with other engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, codes, contracts, drawings, specifications, safety standards, and pollution prevention plan requirements.
  • Provide input on new projects, contributing to long-term planning and strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited engineering program.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required or within six (6) months of hire.
  • 3-7 years of experience in hydraulic and mechanical process engineering, focusing on civil engineering and municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in CADD software (AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in GIS-based hydraulic modeling programs such as Innovyze is a plus.
  • Experience with structural concrete principles and their application to hydraulic and mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to perform both office and field work as needed.
