POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a knowledgeable Indirect Material Buyer to enhance our procurement team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in the cutting-edge development of electric and hybrid vehicle technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Indirect and Capital Expenditure purchasing, particularly in areas related to manufacturing tools, facility management, and ancillary services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate expertise in Indirect Purchasing, particularly within Construction and Manufacturing Engineering support.
  • Leverage commodity knowledge, especially in industrial maintenance sectors.
  • Utilize software tools for predictive maintenance effectively.
  • Exhibit strong capabilities in data analysis and proficiency with ERP and WMS systems.
  • Manage procurement for a diverse range of services including construction, assembly equipment, material handling, testing, waste management, and janitorial services.

The successful candidate will adeptly balance cost-effectiveness with the cultivation of positive supplier relationships, serving as a vital link between our supply chain and various internal departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance. This role requires a collaborative mindset, with the ability to listen, innovate, and implement strategies that yield long-term savings while maintaining safety and project timelines.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering is preferred, or a two-year associate degree with substantial relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, up to 20% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with standard office technology.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience in the automotive sector focusing on Capital Expenditure and Indirect Material Purchasing is advantageous. Professional certifications such as Procurement/ISM or QS16949-IATF are also desirable.
