Overview:

At Heritage Christian Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead our Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing functions. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of these processes, as well as providing supervision and development of accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and supervision of accounts receivable and payables staff.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of accounts receivable, payable, and purchasing processes.
  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and variance analyses.
  • Assess current state of accounting platforms, processes, and procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Project planning for new initiatives to support process improvements, optimization, and automation.
  • Work closely with other Finance and Accounting staff to coordinate cross-departmental and operational stakeholder collaboration.
  • Track and report out on project plans to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong background in business process improvement, operations, or management consulting.
  • Effective project management and change agent skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in the face of competing demands and external pressures.
  • Strong digital and technology literacy skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Required five to seven years of experience in a related field.
