Direct Supervisor: Building Principal
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments and diagnostic evaluations to aid instructional strategies.
- Assist learners with assignments, training, and daily activities to reinforce educational concepts and support academic success.
- Facilitate independent study, enrichment, and remedial activities to strengthen learning outcomes.
- Ensure the maintenance of classroom resources and supplies to uphold a secure learning environment.
- Supervise students in various contexts to cultivate a constructive educational experience.
- Document observations and incidents related to students and communicate with relevant personnel.
- Act promptly in emergency situations to guarantee safety.
- Collaborate with classroom educators to implement suitable behavioral and curricular strategies.
Additional Duties:
- Carry out other related responsibilities to promote effective operations within the work unit.
Competencies:
- Skills-based Competencies: Proficient use of office equipment, record management, safety protocols, administering first aid, and facilitating activities.
- Knowledge-based Competencies: Fundamental math skills, reading comprehension, interpreting manuals, understanding child development, classroom technology, health regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability-based Competencies: Organizing activities, data gathering, equipment operation, teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication with diverse populations.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum age of 21 years, and possession of a Paraprofessional license or successful completion of the required assessment.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting, bending, fine motor skills, sitting, walking, and standing.
Continuing Education/Training:
Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications.
