Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including vital signs and laboratory tests.
- Administer treatments such as wound care and medication management.
- Implement preventive measures, including immunizations and health education.
- Facilitate referrals to mental health and social services as needed.
This role is vital in improving health outcomes and minimizing unnecessary emergency interventions.
Qualifications
- Current NC license as an EMT-P or NR EMT-P.
- Valid BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ACLS certification required; PALS certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
- Completion of a Blue Ridge approved driving course upon hire.
