Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including vital signs and laboratory tests.
  • Administer treatments such as wound care and medication management.
  • Implement preventive measures, including immunizations and health education.
  • Facilitate referrals to mental health and social services as needed.

This role is vital in improving health outcomes and minimizing unnecessary emergency interventions.

Qualifications

  • Current NC license as an EMT-P or NR EMT-P.
  • Valid BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • ACLS certification required; PALS certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Completion of a Blue Ridge approved driving course upon hire.
