Dental Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at HIGH COUNTRY COMMUNITY HEALTH INC. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
- Assist dentists and hygienists with various treatment procedures, including taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays).
- Provide patient care and support, including preparing patients for treatment, taking medical histories, and updating patient records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with office management tasks, including scheduling appointments, verifying benefit eligibility, and maintaining patient records.
- Perform a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, including sterilizing dental instruments, preparing temporary restorations, and fabricating dental appliances.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Radiation safety certification or completion of a radiation safety course required.
- Current dental assisting license or certification, National Certified or Registered Dental Assistant Credentials, preferred.
- CPR certification for Health Care Providers required.
- Current vaccination record meeting ACIP Healthcare Workers guidelines.
Usual working environment found in outpatient primary care office settings. Occasional pressure due to multiple phone calls and patient scheduling. Exposure to blood products, body fluids, cleaning solutions, and other chemicals.
Mental RequirementsAble to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting patients when required.
