North Florida Medical Services is seeking a skilled Medical Coding Auditor to join their team. As a Medical Coding Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting quality reviews of clinical and non-clinical professionals to ensure accurate coding and compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Evaluation and Management and surgical coding guidelines, as well as experience with professional inpatient and outpatient medical coding and billing. A minimum of two years of professional inpatient and outpatient medical auditing experience is required, with a Senior Coding Quality Auditor requiring a minimum of three years of experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Coding and Compliance Manager to schedule and conduct focused retrospective quality reviews, monitoring coding accuracy, and providing education to staff members on coding matters. They will also be responsible for preparing reports for management review and identifying trends.

Requirements for the position include a CPC or CCS-P certification, with the CPMA credential to be obtained within the first 12 months of employment. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office applications.
