Key Responsibilities

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Unavailable encompasses various phases tailored to meet the diverse needs of our patients. The program includes:

  • Phase I: Inpatient rehabilitation
  • Phase II and III: Outpatient rehabilitation

Our staff operates on a structured schedule to ensure comprehensive coverage and support for our patients. The team includes registered nurses, exercise physiologists, and a registered dietitian who provides nutritional education.

Role Summary

This position plays a crucial role in fulfilling the mission of Unavailable by working closely with the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation teams, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective care based on established best practices.

Primary Duties:

  • Deliver direct patient care while considering individual needs to foster a positive work environment.
  • Develop and update exercise prescriptions, collaborating with healthcare providers and patients to set achievable goals.
  • Guide patients in the use of exercise equipment and address safety considerations.
  • Conduct functional fitness assessments and body composition evaluations.
  • Provide educational resources for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related discipline.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a Cardiac Rehabilitation setting.

Licensure and Certifications:

Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification to be obtained within six months of employment.
