Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist

This position contributes to the mission and vision of Dignity Health by collaborating with the cardiac/pulmonary rehab staff, cardiologists, the Heart Institute staff, hospital staff, outreach staff, and maintenance personnel to provide safe care utilizing best practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides direct patient care considering the patient's needs, which promotes a positive quality work environment
- Establishes and updates exercise prescriptions, collaborates with primary care physicians, cardiologists, pulmonologists, and patients in goal-setting
- Orientates patients to the exercise equipment and safety issues
- Performs functional fitness testing and conducts body composition analysis
- Provides patient education for cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field
- Minimum two years current experience working in a Cardiac Rehab Unit
- Current American Heart Association BLS card
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
Pay Range: $33.28/hour
