Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for scans, including administering radioactive isotopes and positioning patients for optimal imaging
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment to produce high-quality images and measure concentration of radioactive isotopes
  • Practice proper radiation safety techniques to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff
  • Support and contribute to the achievement of departmental and hospital goals
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification within 60 months of employment start date
  • Must be registered/eligible by NMTCB and/or ARRT (N)
  • Must be Texas licensed MRT
