Modem and RF System Engineer

At Apple, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology. We're seeking a talented Modem and RF System Engineer to join our team of experts in designing and developing cutting-edge modem and RF systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement modem and RF system features and requirements.
- Design and develop RF models for link-level simulations, analyze and characterize results, and provide mitigation and optimization guidelines.
- Work on AGC development and RF modeling activities, including algorithm development, modeling, and bring-up.
- Deep knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing.
- Knowledge of RF systems, RF impairment modeling, and mitigation techniques (phase noise, IQ imbalance, DC offset, etc), digital RF-front design.
- Experience with automatic gain control (AGC) for LTE/NR is a plus.
- Experience with analog and digital beam forming techniques and MIMO systems.
- Fluent in Matlab, and/or C/C++/Python for algorithm development, modeling (floating-point and fixed-point) and link-level simulation.
- Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, etc.).
- Experience in chip bring-up, including the use of lab equipment such as protocol test equipment, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, etc. a plus.
- Hands-on experience in lab testing & characterization is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- BS with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Competitive base pay, ranging from $175,800 to $312,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and performance.
