Job Summary

At Apple, we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our Cellular Modem RF Software Engineering team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing the development of our cellular baseband modems, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and schedule requirements for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the development of Cellular RF Software controlling the RF transceivers and Frontend components in real-time full signaling mode.
  • Track execution for RF SW plans across project phases from implementation and presilicon validation to cellular feature bringup.
  • Manage maturization of RF Software through cellular modem system testing, field testing, interoperability testing, and production ramp.
  • Drive and report RF Software activities for development, validation, nonregression testing, release management, improvements, and defect resolution.
  • Anticipate risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Deliver presentations supporting executive reviews, including project status, key metrics, top risks, and issues.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability with a track record of hands-on program management, project management, or engineering management in the FW/SW domain.
  • Relevant proven experience in cellular modem Layer 1/RF Software development and/or RF verification.
  • Good understanding of Development Lifecycle for embedded Software.
  • Knowledge of cellular modem baseband building blocks and software layers.
  • Good understanding of RF transceiver and RF front-end components control for cellular modems.
  • Knowledge of RF Cellular major features, real-time requirements, and associated challenges.
  • Experience in wireless standards a significant plus (GSM/UMTS/4G LTE/5G-NR/5G-mmW).
  • Ability to quickly establish and manage sophisticated multi-functional relationships in a dynamic engineering environment.
  • Creative problem solver with ability to lead technical teams and multi-functional groups against plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at senior management level.
  • Experience demonstrating strong presentation skills.
Education & Experience

BS and 10+ years relevant industry experience.

Additional Requirements

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
