About the Role

SJS Executives, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee construction operations within a local VA healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all facets of construction and leasing project management, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, quality, and risk.
  • Perform project scheduling, including developing and maintaining work breakdown structures, critical paths, earned value management, and related schedules.
  • Document management and control, including construction and construction administration documents, correspondence, and as-builts.
  • Review and reconcile payment applications and invoices from third-party construction contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Attend regular meetings with VA Engineering staff, contractors, and hospital staff.
  • Provide overall project management, including facilitating all phases of projects concurrently, from predesign through construction completion and activation.
  • Collect and organize contracts, reports, logs, and other supporting documentation necessary for project files.
  • Ensure project success in terms of timeline, budget, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Provide occupancy planning, including development of move schedules, cost estimates, and inventory lists.
  • Provide project and operations management for leased sites, including day-to-day operations, repairs, work orders, tracking, and managing lessor relationships.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in construction management on projects valued at $5 million or greater.
  • Graduate of an Architectural, Engineering, or Construction Management college curriculum with a 4-year degree.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and techniques, including proper applications of construction materials and methods of installation.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, such as OSHA, EPA, and local health and safety laws.
  • Ability to accurately calculate construction costs for changes, price the value of needed work, and negotiate equitable adjustments.
  • Ability to inspect materials, workmanship, and construction and installation of various systems.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in the construction industry, including OSHA safety requirements.
  • Experience and familiarity with Federal and local government building projects and procedural requirements.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and thorough background check for access onto a military installation.
