Job Overview

As a key member of the Randall Lumber & Hardware team, the Hardware Manager will oversee the daily operations of the hard lines departments, driving business growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team, including hiring, training, and development of employees.
  • Manage the department's profit and loss (P&L) performance, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Optimize inventory management and pricing strategies to maximize sales and minimize waste.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers, driving new business opportunities and market growth.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to stay ahead of the market.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record keeping, maintaining compliance with company standards.
  • Participate in industry organizations and local forums to stay informed and network with peers.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience (5 years in a management position with similar responsibilities).

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with employees, vendors, and customers in a positive and respectful manner.

Additionally, the candidate should be physically able to lift 40lbs and move throughout the store facility with ease.
