Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II plays a critical role in our laboratory team, performing routine and specialized tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. This position requires the ability to utilize various equipment, instruments, and computer systems, as well as evaluate and report patient results with considerable independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures
  • Evaluate and report patient results using independent judgment
  • Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation
  • Train new employees and/or students in laboratory procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of clinical experience in a moderate and high-complexity testing environment
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or an Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field with required licensure/certification
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel certification
Work Schedule

This position requires a 10p-6a shift, one week per month, with as-needed weekend and call requirements.
