Job SummaryThe Medical Laboratory Scientist II plays a critical role in our laboratory team, responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize advanced equipment, instruments, and computer systems to conduct laboratory tests and procedures.
- Evaluate and report patient results using independent judgment and established testing methods.
- Perform quality control procedures and contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation.
- Train new employees and/or students in laboratory procedures and serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
- 2 years of clinical experience in a moderate and high-complexity testing laboratory.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field with required licensure/certification.
- American Society for Clinical Pathology or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel certification.
Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with occasional weekend and call requirements.
