Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs
  • Repair air and hydraulic brake systems
  • Troubleshoot suspension and electrical systems
  • Work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle or free objects
  • Use computers for web-based training and work order system
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Ability to retain knowledge of standard operating procedures and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier
  • Pass a DOT-approved physical
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a trailer technician
  • Technical knowledge of major trailer systems and related equipment
  • Proficiency in welding steel, stainless, aluminum, and other alloys
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Ability to retain knowledge of standard operating procedures and follow verbal and written instructions
