The Role

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Civil Technician to join our team. Civil Technicians play a crucial role in supporting civil engineering projects by assisting with design, construction inspection, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.

Responsibilities
  • Setting forms that hold concrete in place
  • Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues
  • Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a trowel and float
  • Ability to safely maneuver equipment trailers
  • Restoration of areas where work has been performed (leveling, seed and straw)
  • Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements and Skills
  • Must be willing to travel nationwide up to 85% of the time
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • 3 years' experience as a concrete finisher
  • Ability to safely operate equipment (Mine excavators, Telehandlers, Skid Steers)
  • Possess basic computer skills including word, excel & email
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to adapt to diverse team members
  • Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals
  • Able to support a fast-paced, demanding work schedule; including occasional late evenings and/or weekends when requested
  • Ability to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving
  • Endurance of regular exposure to all weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and rain during all seasons throughout the year
  • Ability to be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated
  • Utilize protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high visible vest when working on-site
