We are in the process of establishing a Grants Compliance team tasked with identifying compliance obligations throughout the grant award lifecycle and ensuring adherence to these requirements. This team will play a crucial role in developing tools and fostering relationships to effectively interpret and implement compliance mandates into actionable operational procedures. This is a newly created role within a rapidly expanding organization, and you will be instrumental in providing insights and expertise to both internal and external stakeholders on a variety of grant-related matters, including Cost Principles/Procurement, Property and Ownership of Infrastructure, Audit and Monitoring, among others.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for analyzing and interpreting federal and state regulations and collaborating with relevant agencies to translate these interpretations into practical actions.
Experience with broadband-related legislation and regulations at both state and federal levels is essential. A flexible mindset, coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks and self-motivate towards achieving objectives, is vital for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret broadband grant funding regulations, including financial and administrative guidelines relevant to the grants.
- Comprehend Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and their implications.
- Summarize and communicate the status of grant programs and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Draft policy documents and bulletins that clarify necessary compliance activities, including contracting obligations, property rights, budget submissions, and funding requests throughout the grant compliance period.
- Collaborate closely with both internal and client teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of ongoing requirements.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation.
- Create and share tracking tools to monitor due dates and compliance activities.
- Engage with a creative team to contribute ideas, offer suggestions, and conduct relevant research.
- Exhibit a commitment to knowledge sharing and continuous learning of new processes and technologies.
- Perform additional duties as required to meet the objectives of this position.
Required:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in grant management and network deployment projects.
- Able to navigate complex relationships in both public and private sectors collaboratively.
- Self-motivated individual capable of managing complex tasks independently, with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to meet deadlines, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, proficient in conveying information through various mediums including emails, presentations, and meetings.
- Proficient in Excel, with skills in VLookups, PivotTables, and logical functions.
- Experience in budget creation and management, including ledger updates and invoicing alignment.
Preferred:
- Five years of experience with a deep understanding of broadband deployment principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Power BI.
- Experience with PowerPoint, including the ability to create impactful presentations.
This position will primarily be conducted in a standard office environment, with some flexibility in hours as needed. The majority of work will involve computer-based tasks.
