What you will do:

  • Serve as a compassionate and detail-oriented leader, guiding staff in enhancing clients' English language, literacy, and academic skills.
  • Oversee service delivery and provide support through individual check-ins and team meetings.
  • Evaluate staff performance to ensure adherence to established standards and practices.
  • Facilitate training, supervision, and mentoring to cultivate the skills of program staff.
  • Assist in curriculum selection and development tailored to the needs of pre-literate and SLIFE students, grounded in the Science of Reading.
  • Lead and inspire the team to create an engaging, inclusive, and trauma-informed learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to assess and enhance program plans, outputs, and outcomes.
  • Build partnerships with schools and community organizations to coordinate tutoring sites and schedules.
  • Work alongside the Program Manager to identify and implement strategies for improving service delivery and goal achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with funder requirements by monitoring case files for necessary documentation.
  • Partner with Volunteer Services and Human Resources to recruit and train program volunteers and interns.
  • Analyze client demographic trends and emerging needs to adapt program responses accordingly.
  • Identify and develop resources essential for program and client success.
  • Assist the Program Manager in formulating and executing program policies and procedures for effective service delivery.

Are you the ideal candidate for the Refugee Education Supervisor role?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required; a Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience in refugee resettlement is advantageous.
  • Strong background in managing and coordinating activities in a service-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in a current refugee language is a plus.
  • Access to transportation for off-site travel is necessary.
