Laboratory Quality Assurance Technician

Key Responsibilities:


This position is integral to maintaining a robust Quality Control System that aligns with federal, state, and local construction standards for asphalt products.


Conducts routine quality assurance tests to verify adherence to project specifications and compliance with applicable regulations.

Formulates and implements quality control protocols for asphalt production.

Designs asphalt mix formulations in accordance with specific project requirements.

Collaborates with project teams and regulatory representatives to ensure quality control measures are effectively executed.

Performs a variety of laboratory tests on materials following established scientific methodologies.


Works closely with the asphalt plant operations to fulfill customer-specific mix design requests.


Evaluates and interprets technical data related to product performance from sales and technical teams.


Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.



Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a scientific or engineering field is required.

A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience is necessary; 3-5 years is preferred.

Familiarity with various product types and the relevant regulatory standards governing product quality is essential.

Proficiency in laboratory scientific protocols is required.
