Job Summary

We are seeking a back-up driver/loader to join our team. This role will be part of our delivery department and will report to the shift supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading work orders, identifying and pulling the correct door slab and other components, modifying the door slab as necessary, and using various tools to fabricate, assemble, and disassemble products.



Responsibilities
  • Reading work orders to determine production specs
  • Identifying, locating, and pulling the correct door slab and other components
  • Modifying the door slab as necessary
  • Using routers, saws, jigs, aluminum brakes, pneumatic sanders, electric and pneumatic drills and drivers to fabricate, assemble, and disassemble products
  • Physically moving the door from one production station to another
  • Inspecting work to identify defects, production errors, and quality issues
  • Cleaning the shop and performing light maintenance work

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of recent driving experience in a commercial motor vehicle
  • Class A CDL with authorization to drive a manual truck
  • Satisfactory criminal history and motor vehicle records
  • Satisfactory PSP and DOT Clearinghouse reports
  • Acceptable pre-hire DOT drug screening
  • Ability to obtain a new medical card
  • Ability to routinely back a tractor trailer into tight spaces
  • Ability to use a forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck
  • Compliance with all company policies and applicable DOT standards
  • Ability to provide high-quality customer service
  • Ability to work overtime as business dictates
