We are seeking a skilled Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team at Avalon Veterinary Hospital. Our hospital has provided high-quality medical care to Pittsburgh pet owners for over 50 years, and we value the relationships we build with our clients and patients.

Job Summary

The Certified Veterinary Technician will provide leadership and training to our medical support staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our small animal facility. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and uphold the core values and mission statement of Avalon Veterinary Hospital.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to support staff to ensure a well-organized shift.
  • Contribute to 360-degree employee performance evaluations.
  • Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and record accurate medical information.
  • Answer client inquiries and provide basic animal care information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • State Department of Regulation Licensing required.
  • 1+ years of veterinary industry experience required.
