Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and researchers in providing laboratory animal care and research support
- Perform preventative medicine, triage, and emergency response
- Conduct complex procedures, including anesthetic and surgical support
- Oversee and direct veterinary technician support
- Provide backup support to leadership
- Perform medical imaging, treatments, and administer medications as prescribed
- Ensure adherence to all federal and state health laws and respond to regulatory issues
- Maintain sanitization and conduct administrative duties
- Frequent standing and traveling between laboratories
- Excellent hand/eye coordination and computer skills required
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods
- Ability to move or lift objects up to 50 pounds
