As a Line Cook at Under Canvas Inc., you play a vital role in our culinary team. Collaborating with fellow kitchen staff, you will uphold our high culinary standards in our unique outdoor kitchens. Your responsibilities will include working across various cooking stations such as grill, sauté, fry, prep, and pantry, ensuring a seamless operation that delights our guests.

- Maintain composure and resourcefulness in unpredictable situations, such as changing weather or diverse guest needs.
- Engage professionally with guests and collaborate effectively with the food and beverage team.

- Demonstrate a passion for culinary excellence by delivering high-quality dishes that enhance guest experiences.
- Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.
- Contribute ideas for menu specials and operational improvements.
- Prepare and plate dishes accurately and efficiently.
- Possess knowledge of menu ingredients and preparation methods to assist with guest inquiries and dietary needs.
- Provide clear and timely communication with team members.
- Exhibit problem-solving skills, both independently and collaboratively.
- Support your colleagues by stepping in to assist as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Food Handler Certification (to be obtained within two weeks of employment).
- Ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Team-oriented and friendly demeanor.
- Previous experience as a line or grill cook is advantageous but not mandatory.
Additional Information
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, including in varying weather conditions.
- Capacity to stand and move for long durations.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs independently; assistance required for heavier lifts.
- This position may require a satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check.
