Community Behavioral Health Liaison

This position provides critical support to the CYFD Protective Services, Juvenile Justice Services, and Behavioral Health Services employees throughout the state. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison and assist with coordination to the Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and community providers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with specific trainings identified in relation to Kevin S requirements.
- Coordinate with MCOs regarding coverage of services and organizing appropriate programming supports.
- Provide program support to BHS Programs through tracking and evaluating items such as the CANS and CSE-IT.
- Communicate with MCOs to work out any insurance coverage issues and needs regarding the behavioral health component.
- Develop expertise in managing relationships between CYFD, MCOs, and Community Behavioral Health Providers.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, and/or Family Studies/Services.
- Four (4) years of any combination of experience including working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health, and/or healthcare.
- Masters degree in counseling or social work and a license of LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LPCC, or LMFT.
- Knowledge about children's behavioral health and understanding of the Medicaid system.
Work is performed in an office setting. Late hours and weekends work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Travel may be required.
