Water/Wastewater Project Manager Role

GPD Group is seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Project Manager to join our team in Louisville, KY and Pittsburgh, PA. As a key member of our Water Practice group, you will be responsible for managing projects related to water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater, water/wastewater treatment systems, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee multiple stakeholders and services, including A&E design, survey, environmental assessment, field services, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • Technical Oversight: Manage data research, analyze and correlate scientific and engineering data, and identify potential solutions and risks.
  • Client Engagement and Management: Develop and build programs and client relationships to grow the team, understanding clients' needs and translating them into specific scope and reporting systems.
  • Mentoring and Developing the Water Team: Empower teammates to find their passion and skills in the industry and translate that to continued career success.
  • Administrative Oversight: Develop, communicate, and track workflow tasks, scheduling, and champion GPD's quality assurance and client standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional registration in the State of Kentucky, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.
  • 8+ years of experience with aging and complex infrastructure projects, particularly involving water, stormwater, wastewater pipeline, and/or treatment systems in Kentucky, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.
  • Extensive experience in stormwater/water/wastewater infrastructure assessment, land planning, sustainability, design, and implementation.
  • Proficient understanding of asset management and pipeline design hydraulics, inspection, condition assessment, and proper repair/rehabilitation design.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience mentoring and empowering engineers newer in their career.
