Job Overview

Position Summary

Malace|HR is in search of a Facilities Lead to oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of our facilities. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, lighting, and plumbing to ensure they operate within specified design parameters and environmental standards.
  • Executing necessary repairs alongside preventive and emergency maintenance tasks.
  • Maintaining detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Supervising and evaluating the work performed by external contractors in areas such as landscaping, electrical work, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning services.
  • Issuing Purchase Orders and monitoring the completion of work.
  • Assessing assigned work orders, estimating required time and materials, and procuring necessary supplies.
  • Responding promptly to emergency situations and coordinating additional assistance as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with company safety and security protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Proficient knowledge in monitoring and maintaining security systems, HVAC, fire control, and other essential building systems.
  • Capability to work independently with a diverse range of employees and vendors without direct supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address practical issues in varied situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions and correspondence, seeking clarification when necessary.
  • Competence in drafting maintenance reports and professional correspondence.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical capabilities include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
