POSITION: MANUFACTURING PROCESS ENGINEER – WIRE FINISH

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the enhancement, refurbishment, installation, and initiation of process machinery.
  • Lead the formulation of new equipment specifications.
  • Evaluate critical process metrics to identify significant issues and their underlying causes.
  • Detect equipment safety concerns and implement corrective measures.
  • Offer technical support and act as a liaison for process, product, and maintenance challenges.
  • Coordinate external resources, including contractors and equipment suppliers, for designated projects.
  • Develop and adhere to relevant standards, specifications, and procedures for production, technical, safety, and environmental operations.
  • Manage the procurement of parts and supplies utilizing Permac.
  • Establish engineered rates for equipment.
  • Assess new process equipment and provide recommendations for acquisition and installation.
  • Supervise the execution of medium-sized capital projects.
  • Responsible for the development and reverse engineering of parts and supplies.
  • Identify opportunities for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) enhancements and spearhead improvement initiatives.
  • Execute additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • A two-year degree and/or a minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering support experience is required.
  • A four-year degree in an engineering-related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an engineering support role.
  • Proficient design skills using CAD or SolidWorks and the ability to interpret blueprints are essential.
  • The ideal candidate will work under moderate supervision, providing hands-on troubleshooting of equipment while managing projects. A willingness to engage directly on the shop floor to resolve equipment issues is essential.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with employees and vendors on supply and equipment enhancements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities, are required to foster internal and external business relationships.
  • Capability to operate in a production-focused environment with minimal guidance, managing structured tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
