Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at b3 Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing production methods and workflows to maximize productivity and quality while minimizing costs. In addition to process improvement, you will focus on product design for manufacturability and collaborate with product designers and other engineers to ensure that products can be efficiently and effectively manufactured within the given production constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs to identify areas for improvement.
• Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to optimize production efficiency and maintain product quality.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods and implementing quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs to inform business decisions.
• Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to support business intelligence.
• Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests from stakeholders to ensure seamless communication.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance and avoid reputational risk.
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians to ensure successful project delivery.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and conferences to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements:
A degree or experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field is required. Proven experience (8-10 years) in an Engineering role in a manufacturing environment is preferred. ASME certification is a plus. A background in aerospace or structural steel manufacturing is highly desired.
Technology Experience Needed:
Drawing software (Strong CAD & Solidworks) is required. Microsoft office is a must. Reading Blueprints and technical drawings is essential. MIG, TIG, and STICK welding processes are a plus.
