Job Title: Housing Coordinator

La Clinica de Familia Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Coordinator to join our team. As a Housing Coordinator, you will play a vital role in accessing resources for homeless and precariously housed clients and families in the community.

Job Summary:

The Housing Coordinator will provide peer support services to members with behavioral health issues, psychiatric disorders, drug and/or alcohol dependence, and physical illnesses. You will act as a consumer advocate, providing information and support for consumers, and assist consumers in their recovery process. You will oversee, process, and follow through with housing applications to ensure successful placement. Additionally, you will facilitate community engagement and involvement to support special needs clients in the least restrictive environment and encourage growth in community services.

Core Competencies:
  • Identify programs/services/resources appropriate for the individual's needs and provide assistance to the individual accessing those programs/services/resources.
  • Track homeless clients served and the number engaged for services with the agency.
  • Assist clients in identifying service resources for obtaining and training stable housing.
  • Interface with community agencies that outreach to the homeless and other vulnerable populations.
  • Collaborate with property managers in the community supervising supportive housing communities.
  • Assist residents of supportive housing communities to receive reasonable accommodations.
  • Track resident compliance with supportive housing community requirements.
  • Interface with other supportive housing workers from community agencies working with residents of the supportive housing communities.
  • Participate in individual and group supervision.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
  • May advocate on behalf of clients to secure needed services in the community.
  • May provide services to existing clients within the CCSS program, if needed.
  • May attend NM Coalition to End Homelessness meetings.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years or older per Program Regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field OR High School Degree with a history of working with SED children and families for at least two years or more.
